Legal Cannabis in Canada

Since October 2018, Canada has legalized recreational cannabis on a federal scale, becoming the second country to achieve this status, and the first to do it on such a large scale.

What did this change? Well, besides the legality of purchasing and using weed, this also created a lot of new standards of how cannabis is treated and sold. Putting the industry in the hands of the government meant more testing for THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids, making it easier to find exactly what you want. It also made changes such as the packaging and distribution process of products, taking it out of the hands of individual retailers and creating federal standards.

While there is a long way to go in legislation of the industry,  this step has created a much more open acceptance of cannabis and the many uses it has.
